CALIEL. His attribute is God Quick to Grant. His ray begins at the 86th degree of the circle up to the 90th, corresponding to the ninth decade and to the angel named Tepistatosoa. One invokes this angel to obtain prompt assistance in the face of some adversity. This angel allows knowledge of truth in proceedings, and allows innocence to triumph; he confounds the guilty and false testimony.  The person born under this influence will be just and possess integrity, love truth, and will distinguish themself in magistracy.

The negative side of this angel rules over scandalous processes and corruption and influences vile, base, and rampant men, and those who seek to confound business and enrich themselves at the expense of their clients.

FIRST CONVERSATION

Borne upward on feelings rising in my body into a realm surrounded by birds. Owl calls. Owl is above my head.

“Angel, show thyself that I may know thee.” A ring of beings in the woods. Owl becomes a human woman, fair and strong. She holds a sword that ripples and flashes like water or fire; she is fair and terrible to behold.

“What is your office concerning me?” You who come before me in righteousness and prayer, be comforted, for I confirm you in your ways and rebuke them who chastise and harass you for your angel’s sake. Come up into the sanctuary of the living gods that your being may be made whole, and in the holy mountain your substance restored to you.

“I pray, let there be mercy upon those who transgress out of ignorance; let them be given wisdom.” It is not for you to judge any one in the reasons of their heart; but the Gods see all, and come to each according to their destiny, and the weighing of their hearts.

“What message for those who speak with angels?” Look well upon your own heart: and do not fear, for you know already the Law by which you are sustained in your being, and the message of the angel that is in you. Therefore do not doubt or concern yourself with what is beyond your reach, but make haste to bring forth the truth that is yours, and it shall be counted as innocence. For does not the Goddess hold love for the wolf as for the deer, and give to each according to its nature, and a law to each according to the spirit that is in it? Therefore be not concerned with the merit and failings of others, but hold to your own prayers and the work of your angel, and the support of heaven and earth will be with you.

SECOND CONVERSATION

Contact begins with a dusting of wings. Something is falling all around me. “Angel, show thyself that I may know thee.” Over a quiet and ruined city, a being like a bird hovers, fanning the air with many wings, from which fall motes of glowing dust. The feeling is awe, and apocalypse, and also somehow peace.

“Angel, what is your message for me at this time?” Peace be unto you for the prayers you have offered, and because you have humbled yourself before the power of the gods, your judgment shall be easy. But unto those who stop their ears to the holy word, and their eyes against seeing, and their hearts against feeling, the coming of the Lord shall be as terror that falls from the sky: yea, as a rain of ash and fire, and their transgressions shall be upon them, returning even as they sent them forth into the world.

I am somewhat horrified, wondering if I’m seeing the aftermath of bombs. “Angel, how may I look after the good of my family and community at this time?” I see a garden growing: It’s my own, with beans spiraling around a pole and flowering. The flowers open, and inside I see many people, nestled close together; feeling of waking up, slowly, deliciously. I am aware that this is an island of life in the desolate city.

The seeds are planted, and watered by love: but while the plant is young it must be supported by an upright will, and in the flowering be one among many, and the fruit will be for the blessing of all the earth. Therefore, let the ritual of your tending be a support, for the will of the gods is a strong tree that faileth not and is not shaken, though this world fall in ruins. And do not fear: for what grows from the destruction of the wicked is fruit greater than what you have known, and the days of the innocent will be long in the land.

“Angel, please look after my family and loved ones, that they may be safe and prosperous in the times to come.” For the sake of your prayers, they will be spared, according as their hearts and minds are moved to awe: But it is not for you to save them, but keep to your ritual, and your offerings will be reckoned on their behalf.

“Angel, what message for those others who talk to angels?” Watch, and pray often, and be glad in your hearts: for the workings of the gods are swift and sure, while the workings of humans are full of doubtful outcome and labor, for they do not see that all things are accomplished already in the gods. Therefore keep thy faith, and trust not in the salvation offered by false prophets, but know that your judgment is already upon you, and is even as you pray; the mercy and justice of the Lord grow within you already; and the world is blessed already for your sake.
