Vasariah report: As I prepared for this conjuration, I felt a strong urge to close my windows and blinds, despite the heat of the day; it seemed important that I be alone and unobserved, even by the birds in the garden. As I began the prayers, I was aware of part of me carefully examining my conscience, as if in preparation for a trial.
Contact began with a feeling of quiet, steady, even austere clarity. An image of a circular room with many tiers of balconies, and a floor that steps down like an ampitheater. I’ve been here before; it’s my own version of the Court of All Beings; but for now it’s empty. In the center is the planet Earth.
“Angel, show yourself that I may know you.” There is a being standing to my left, leading me down toward the center of the chamber. I look at them; it’s a well-groomed, attractive yet somehow odd-looking personage–they seem not exactly human–with sharp features. A large feather plume rises from their forehead. They are wearing courtly clothes, undecorated but of fine material. They are smooth and polite.
“What is your office concerning me?” I am an advocate for you, that you may achieve your lawful desires and find answers in the favor of the Most High before whom I serve. For know that in these courts is no contention nor argument, but agreement, for only truth may be spoken here, and the matter disposed for the good of all. What is your plea and petition before these courts?
I understand this to be a very serious question, and write my prayer with care and some trepidation. “Angel, please advocate for me, who have labored long to develop my gifts and have sought what is good in the light of my angel and the sight of the gods; and obtain I pray that these gifts may be put to use in my life in such a way as to support myself and my community in peace and prosperity and abundance to fulfill our highest potentials and open the way to greater truth, freedom, and connection for all beings. Help me know what I must do to bring this about, and grant me all support needed to do the work that I alone in countless worlds am fit to do, for the glory of the Lord and Lady and the comfort of their people. So let it be. Amen.”
Your petition is heard in the courts and the word of the Most High is in thy ears–at which point my ears began ringing loudly, and a second, different voice speaks, clearly, in my heart. It is different–richer–than the voices I have heard in other invocations. You are as I am, and I confirm you in your freedom and ask you to hear truth. Your abundance is assured, and your support is given and recieved, and your prayers are written upon the records that do not lie. Now prepare yourself. Make offerings before the tree of the Lady of thy prayer: burn and release it with sweet incense. Do this when the moon is waxing, and when none may see thee. And pray often, and as you pray so shall you recieve. Do nothing in vain, or in vainglory, but speak clearly to those whom you may help, and you shall guide them in truth as you have been guided. Thus your debt will be paid and your petition and prayer made whole. This shall be the sign of the covenant that is made: you shall speak the prayer of sacrament and give thanks for the food of the spirit and body, and recieve it in gratitude and the holy spirit, for what is given thee is made the foundation for the gifts you bring forth. Thus say I in the name of the one who bore me, and the Kingdom, and the angel that is in me that speaks to you. Glory… and suddenly the courtroom was full of beings, each balcony packed with animals and trees and aliens and fungi and humans and stars and mountains. It is all of their voices speaking at once that I’ve been hearing. In the center, the Earth turns just a hair, and a great bell rings–then suddenly I am alone in a smaller room, like a waiting room, with the angel I had seen before.
“What message for Rune Soup and those who talk to angels?” Hallelujah and great glory, for the word of the Most High is given to you for your blessing. Give thanks to the God who conveys each being to its true end, who judges each being in the light of their own angel, and gives to each their truth and the way of their soul, and rewards those who seek to know & do the work of the Most High, which is verily the freedom of their own heart & the meaning of their holy name. Therefore give thanks, & rejoice, for all the earth is blessed, and you among them, in the good favor of the Lord. Amen.
Second invocation, 9/2/23
[At the time, this message appeared rather pro forma, but in three day’s hindsight as I type, they were preparing me point by point for a situation already occurring among those close to me, though unknown to me at the time. I am deeply grateful for the briefing, as it allowed me to navigate a series of very difficult and potentially conversations with an intact heart, in right relation with all involved, and moments of something like grace.]
Contact begins with the feeling that a door is left open. I feel very visible, though apparently alone.
“Angel, show thyself that I may know thee.” A tall, thin figure bearing a feather. The whole earth is spread out around me, as if everything were transparent. A long wait.
“Angel, what is thy office with me at this time?” _I am the scribe of your conscience, and the judge which dwells in you and has jurisdiction on your heart. You are recognized. What would you ask of me at this time?_
“Angel, I pray make and keep me blameless before gods and humans, and innocent in the judgment of my heart. And if there are any who speak against me, or murmur of my ways, I pray that their sayings may be confounded by truth, and their complaints answered, that I may live in peace and pursue that which seems good to me, unhindered by malice or envy, all my days.”
_Know then that as you judge, so are you judged, as it is written: and that mercy is the name written above the seat of the judges, and their decree upon those who cast no blame. And in your heart, take care of your truth, and judge yourself as you are, not as you would be. For once you say in your heart, I should be other than I am, all beings will say this also of you, confirming your judgment. And if you say of another, the gods have shaped you poorly, then this judgment will your heart hold against you also in witness. All things are done in truth and justice before the gods—and will you say of those who created you, they have done ill?_
_To each is given their judgment—but behold, it obtains upon their own soul. If you dwell in truth in yourself, no lies will touch you, though the adversary be against you: it shall prove your worth. Therefore do not fear the judgments of humans, who indict themselves in their complaining: but bear truth before the bar of god, and you will be as crystal or as glass, and truth and peace shine through you, and malice find no place to dwell in you for your harm._
_But if your heart repents you for aught you have done, hear it, and make good the harm and amend your ways. For this is the judgment of god in you, and is given for your thriving. Therefore measure yourself in love, by the law which the gods place in you: and the courts of earth shall not have power to constrain you, nor any complaint arrest you in your way._
_And to some it is given to be falsely accused, and feel the injustice of humans to humans: and for these I come as a comforter, to justify them and set their hearts at peace, though all the earth rail against them, they are exonerated among the angels, and blessed again by heaven according to the suffering they endure._
