“Angel, what is thy office concerning me?” _I come as if bearing gifts: this is my blood. For all the world suffers many things, and it is the joy of god that those who suffer shall be lifted up. Therefore I say, give me your pain, that it may become joy: give to the world as I do, the peace of mastery of suffering. For pain and pleasure are known to all, and suffering also, but joy belongs to those whose pleasure is in the release of suffering, which is the embrace of pain and pleasure both, and harmony between them. And joy is greater than suffering, and raises you beyond pain and pleasure, which exist to bring you awareness of the grace bestowed every moment by the holy ones._

Second invocation, 9/15/23
Contact begins with a spray of water and flowers fountaining upward in a flood of color: in the fountain, a figure seen from the waist up, beautiful, androgynous. Their hands reach into their bosom, which opens like a ripe fig, and from it they draw forth their inward parts and scatter them sparkling like jewels, petals, colored like candies, a profusion and abundance of luxury. When there is an open space in their heart, they say in a voice like honey, _Come, enter in, and dwell in me._
Entering, I am enclosed in the angel in a place like a womb: close and red, warm, wet. I hear a constant hum and throb and song around me, and the angel’s voice in every direction, comforting.
_O dear one, beautiful before the gods is your joy, and as a prayer the delight of your heart: for from such materials are built the mansions of heaven, and of earthly delight are woven the raiment of the angels. Nor do these joys come to you as a reward, but come from you as an offering and gratitude, and for this reason the angels store up blessings for you, that in your joy their joy may be fulfilled and the song of praise renewed. Giving and receiving, as when lovers grow close through mutual praise, even so heaven and earth grow close, and their marriage is in human hearts, where beast and angel move in union. And this is the fruit of the flowering of the garden of the gods._
_Though joy may wax and wane on earth, in its seasons, yet among the heavens not a moment passeth away but is treasured up in eternity; and this is my work and glory, to make immortal what passeth, and from them bring forth the houses of blessing, wherein all suffering is redeemed, even unto death, and your mortal pains made good in repayment of your service. For by the harvest of joy the humans serve the gods, and by that alchemy by which your labors become gold, and what was despised comes to shine, so are your lives justified._
I see again that the angel’s blood and viscera, when offered up [now myself, emerging from their body?], become jewels; and in awe at the sacrifice by which beauty comes to be, I am lost in wonder till the vision ends.
