IAHHEL. His attribute is God the Supreme Being. His ray commences from the 306th degree up to the 310th degree inclusive, corresponding to the thirty-first decade and to the angel called Oroasoer. 

He serves to acquire wisdom. This angel rules philosophers, enlightened ones, and all those who wish to retire from the world.  The person born under this influence will love tranquility and solitude; they will precisely fulfill the duties of their state and will be distinguished by their modesty and virtues.

The negative side of this angel rules over those who commit scandals; he rules over luxury, inconstancy, and divorce; he provokes disunion between spouses.

FIRST CONVERSATION

Contact begins with quiet, supremely peaceful darkness just deeper than the shadows of the room; I see a sort of drifting, softly glowing spark leaving a trail of light.

“Angel, show thyself that I may know thee.” The spark — or perhaps many of them — moves about me, unhurriedly weaving a spiralling shape like an egg with gothic-arch ends around my body, soft and comforting and continually moving in hypnotic patterns. I am aware of a figure of the same soft light just behind me, arms around me with the faintest of touches, still and silent. They are larger than I am; it feels as if I’m sitting on their lap.

“Angel, what is thy office concerning me?” The voice that speaks is like the light made audible: I bring you rest, and waking: Not apart anymore, but here together now and when you need, to see with finer eyes and feel fully. Your dreams are real things, and your presence is felt on earth and beyond the veil. No more divide what is whole in you, or longer seek, but watch, and wait, and see.

I feel a sort of quickening near my root, and a flow of light upward between my thighs along the front of my body becomes another figure of light, smaller than me this time, who seats themselves on my legs, as I am seated on the first figure; and I hold them as I am held. My heart is beating hard as if in the first embrace of a lover. I stay there, lost in peace and love, a long time. Eventually words come again:

Know therefore, and if you are asked for news of angels, say that as you hold you are held; as you are touched, touch others; as you love, you are loved. And this is true at all times. Therefore do not fear, for we are with you always, though all others turn away; and we stand as guardians of your solitude though all the world seek you out. Be of good cheer: Your burdens are lightened for love, nor shall you bear them any more alone.

The contact remains, but with no need for further discussion. Eventually, I feel complete and light the incense to give thanks.

SECOND CONVERSATION

After the versicle, quiet silence persists for a significant time. Crows call outside my window. A sense of longing held in peace. Eventually, a comforting presence wraps itself around me like a blanket as my heart softens. Maybe it was already there, and I was finally still enough to feel it.

“Angel, show thyself that I may know thee.” The distinct sensation of hands pressed on my heart center, and two beings on either side, gently supporting me. They are indistinct to my sight, appearing to be made of very fine light; their wings wrap around me in the shape of an egg, and I feel them lean a little closer until I am nestled between them like a baby held by its parents. It is supremely comforting.

“Angel, thank you for your love and care. What message do you have for me at this time?” As we care for you, we pray that you also care for yourself, and hold tenderly the life that is yours. It is a gift, unique and precious, this body, this experience, and we are grieved by your distance from the heart of your experience, when you have forgotten yourself, wandering far, or desiring that which is not yours to obtain. And so we lead you, in love, back into the presence of the real, into communion with divinity, which is with you already, but which you see not for looking. We wrap you in love, that you may remember the goodness of what is and be comforted.

Know that your pains are as the birth-pains of a child who cries because it does not understand; we bring peace, that you may come into understanding. “Angel, what is it that I should understand?” It is easy to be in solitude. It is a blessing to be quiet and at peace. It is holy and right to tend your own life, that you may pour out the surplus abundantly for the blessing of other life. Do not think that life is outside you, and passes by; already you are held intimately in the midst of it. Nor seek after strange and new experience at this time, but let all adventures come in their time; they will be sweeter, coming unsought. Behold, this life is before you as a sacred rite, or like the counting of beads on a string: pray and be easy. Rest and be comforted. Do what is before you, and what you yearn for without understanding will be revealed, and what you need will be added to you.

Peace to your body and the members thereof.

Peace in your mind and the thoughts thereof.

The comfort of the holy ones in your heart and around you.

In word and action, peace to those who know you.
