רֵאָהֵאֵל ReAHe-EL / Rochel
Influence time and dates: 22:41 – 23:00, March 1 through 5. He rules over the following days: May 27, August 7, October 18, December 29, March 11.
ROCHEL. His attribute is the God Who Sees All. His ray commences from the 341st degree up to the 345th degree inclusive, corresponding to the thirty-fifth decade and to the angel called Chontare, under the influence of Jupiter.
This angel serves to find lost or hidden objects, and to know the person who has removed them. He rules renown, fortune, and succession; he influences jurisconsults, magistrates, attorneys, solicitors, and notaries. The person born under this influence will be distinguished at the bar by their knowledge of morality, custom, and the spirit of the laws of all people.
The negative side of this angel rules over reports, testaments, and bequests made to the detriment of legitimate inheritors; he influences all those who cause the ruin of families by provoking high fees and interminable court cases, or unjust procedures of law.

FIRST CONVERSATION
During this angel’s time, but before my invocation, I received news of impending legal proceedings; this was heavy on my mind during this call, and given this angel’s association with the law, it informed much of our conversation.
Contact began slowly, with a sense that it was not just me waiting and listening in the room. The image of a quill pen flashed in my mind.
“Angel, show thyself that I may know thee.” The image comes clear: a single feather, with an eye near the base of the shaft. It is alive and responsive to the slightest breath. A sense of great power, simplicity, and stability. A light voice speaks: What would you have of me?
“Angel, I seek thy knowledge and conversation, that I may have the protection of divine justice with my children and myself.”
Of whom do you seek justice?
“Of the Lord and Lady who love that good deeds are done among the humans, and the works of peace.”
Upon whom would you have the balance fall, if you and your children are lifted up? This question gives me pause; the sense is that our rising inevitably requires a counterbalancing fall somewhere.
“Angel, I seek that any, myself included, who rise above our right relationship, and seek unrighteous dominion, may return to their level, that the balance may be restored. Specifically, I seek balance with N.N., whom I know.”
The image shows two pans, as of a scale, floating apart in air, with the feather between them. One of the pans, which is larger, splits into three: one the same size as the second pan, and two slightly smaller. These four take up positions around the feather at the four quarters, and hang as if in suspense. The voice again:] Each being is free, and the word of the gods stands between them. Let each become as it truly is. A light shines in each of the pans, in various changing colors and qualities; the one that originally split begins brighter but grows dimmer, and those which split from it grow brighter to meet it, while the light of the undivided pan remains the same, till all become stable in their colors and qualities.
Is this to your sense of justice?
“Angel, it is.”
And what else would you seek of me?
“I seek the wisdom to exercise my sovereignty and authority in the best interests of my children, and for their flourishing.” I feel an aura of light around me, which was already present but unnoticed, becoming a clear or translucent blue-indigo color. The image of the pans recurs, and the positions of the pans adjust slightly, with the smaller pans coming closer to the one which was undivided, and the image understanding that this is in service to a much greater balance, in which these scales are but a small part.
Remember this, that you have asked, and do not seek unrighteous control, for your judgment is noted and remembered. Fear not the outcome of any trial, for your case has been heard, and the judgment sure, and the gods will watch over your loved ones for their names’ sake, and it shall be well with them.
“Angel, give thanks with me to the Lady and the Lord for their justice and mercy.” The following were not clearly my words or the angel’s, but seemed to arise in concert between my own voice and the voice I was hearing; contact ceased as soon as they were complete.
Glory to the ones who arise seeking the light, and give praise to the darkness of the evening, the rising of the sun and its going down, for no part of creation escapes the balance, and all things are given witness in the courts of the Most High. Holy are their gifts and remembrance.
SECOND CONVERSATION
This invocation took place far from my home, atop a small mound in New Mexico, on an altar spread on a red handkerchief, looking east through the pinion trees toward the space between two symmetrical hills — a most auspicious placement, personally. I was reminded how much richer this practice can be in the open air.
Contact begins with the clear and distinct image of a giant figure with arms outstretched like a cross, rising over the horizon between the hills. Their face is a very bright light; I cannot look at it directly. It sends its beams over all the land, and each tree or stone or building was is illuminated as if with fire from within. The angel’s hands are open, palms up; incense smoke rises up from them, and something like dew pours down.
“Angel, what is your message at this time?” The voice is clear and steady; I can’t tell if it’s speaking to me personally or to the world broadly — probably both at once. You who seek justice in yourself shall bring forth balance, and you who look for peace that was lost shall have it restored unto you. Images arise from my past, which I had forgotten. I see moments of joy with one who, later, became an enemy —- and though our conflict is long over, it feels like coming into wholeness to recover these memories.
And you who ask to be brought into justice and right relation, you are blessed, and your guilt shall be removed from you for the wrongs you have done, for you have sought in deed and earnest prayer to be restored to balance, and those you have hurt to be made whole. I feel a weight rising from my heart; I see moments of regret, or where I have carried self-blame, and these rise and dissipate like incense smoke; and I feel a fuller wholeness, neither proud nor humble, and an acceptance of parts I have tried to hide or avoid.
You who call to me, seeking no vengeance, nor crying complaint, I see you and restore you, for every moment of your life is stored up in the heavens, and not an action or thought or feeling goes unseen.
But you who call me in bitterness, or demanding that which has been taken from you, or aggrieved in your heart, take comfort, for the justice of the gods cannot be avoided, and you shall be made whole, and what you cling to shall be restored to its rightful place, and your grasping released, and you shall know that nothing is given to the children of creation for their possession without end, but only insofar as their stewardship extends: And all that is given must be offered back, and every lack made whole, and the abundance of the gods give to all liberally their portion and their fate.
And those who are full of greed, and take beyond their birthright, or claim another’s portion as their own, claim and keep suffering to themselves, proclaiming their lack, and they too shall be restored to wholeness, for the Lady shall take from them their suffering, yea, that injustice to which they cling, and their loud cries shall be stilled, and peace be returned to them, even according to their birthright, though in their willfulness they deny it, or hold strenuously close to the objects of their torment: Yet shall their chains, which they think to own, evaporate, and in their liberation from ills gotten, gain and be made whole.
And this judgment is upon all the earth, which cometh to be and passeth away: Blessings to the just, who say in their heart, may I hold nothing back, who have been given all that I have, but make offering of all: For the earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof. The angel’s gaze passes over me, and I am at peace, and well content.
