Secret Key presents the public work and services of Dan’el Nighting, consulting wizard, currently residing in the Pacific Northwest. I am a spirit worker, artist, visionary, and scribe with a lifetime of study, practical experience, and formal initiation in traditions of sacred mystery and magical art, as well as over two decades as a professional editor in academia. I am a queer parent and proud polymath, gardener and snake-tender, dancer, artist, musician, bricoleur, autodidact, ceremonialist, ritual facilitator, celebrant, lover of the stage, and casual factotum. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you pronounce your name? What are your pronouns?
A: Like “Dan El,” or “Danelle,” emphasis on the final syllable. I accept any respectfully used pronouns and won’t take offense if you hazard a guess. Generally “they/them” is easiest.
Q: I think I might be psychic, or going crazy. Also weird things keep happening to me. I feel alone and confused. Why is my life so hard?
A: What you’re experiencing is real, and so are the feelings you’re having about it. You can get through this and claim both your power and your full potential — and you’re not alone.
